Knutsford Market Hall is joining the Against Breast Cancer bra recycling scheme which benefits women everywhere.
The scheme provides an eye-catching pink bra bank, where unwanted bras can be deposited before being recycled by the charity.
Recycling bras prevents them going to landfill, and the charity receives £700 from every tonne donated.
The scheme means textiles being sent to Africa where they help local commerce – and the scheme is also helping create jobs in the UK.
Bernadette Jones, chief executive of Against Breast Cancer, said: “We have received very positive feedback from retailers adopting the scheme and great warmth from the public for an idea that helps the environment as well as charity.”
Sandra Curties, Knutsford’s town centre manager, who is responsible for running the market hall, commented: “We are delighted to be able to help such a worthwhile cause.
“It is so easy to do and as well as raising funds we are helping the environment as recycling means less landfill.
“We hope lots of our customers come and visit Style Loft Boutique and donate their bras.”
Funds received from the scheme will support research into breast cancer, which now affects 1 in 8 women in the UK.
The bra bank is located at Style Loft Boutique inside Knutsford Market Hall on Silk Mill Street in Knutsford.
