It’s all change at the top for Wilmslow Dean Rotary

Shares

With the start of a new Rotary year on 1st July fast approaching, the incoming president of Wilmslow Dean Rotary Club, Carol Parry, is looking forward to helping the organisation become more relevant, attractive and inclusive to a new generation of Rotarians.

Having worked for many years caring for children’s mental health, it was Carol’s voluntary work supporting children with HIV / AIDS that ultimately brought her into contact with Rotary as she sought help for a remote community in Swaziland.

With support provided, thanks to the global reach of Rotary International, Carol decided to sign up and become a Rotarian.

Carol commented: “Rotary’s strength is not simply the funding they make available for humanitarian efforts but the 1.2 million Rotarians locally, nationally and internationally who pull together to make the seemingly impossible, possible.”

Assisting Carol will be vice president Paul Almond who joined Rotary after hearing about the benefits of membership whilst at a wedding.

He is an executive director of one of the world’s leading providers of advisory and consultancy services.

He is also a keen golfer, line dancer and bridge player and says he can always find time for supporting the local community through Rotary.

He is looking forward to increasing membership and hopes the changes taking place will result in an exciting and interesting year for Wilmslow Dean Rotary.

Wilmslow Dean Rotary meets each Tuesday evening at The Deanwater Hotel.
