Employees at AstraZeneca recently held an open weekend at the Alderley Park site in order to raise funds for East Cheshire Hospice. In total over £3,000 was collected.
The annual event sees friends and family of AstraZeneca employees descend on the site, which has its own farm.
Children and adults were enthralled to see – and in some cases hold – the recently born lambs.
Also on offer was a host of other activities, including: tractor rides, sheep shearing demonstrations, owls, nature walks and birds of prey demonstrations.
More than 3,000 people attended over two days helping boost the fundraising for East Cheshire Hospice.
AstraZeneca in the North West elects one charity to support each year and this year’s chosen cause is the Macclesfield-based hospice.
Organiser Colin Bath commented: “We are directing all our fundraising to East Cheshire Hospice who are our charity of the year for 2018.
“We recognise the great work of the hospice for our local community and it’s great to be able to support them.”
