Following the successful appearance of the Embraer E190-E2 ‘Shark Jet’ (PR-ZGQ) at Farnborough Airshow 2018, the manufacturer flew into Manchester Airport on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th September 2018 to operate demonstration flights.

The aircraft is currently on a European tour to showcase the aircraft to potential customers within the aviation sector.

Upon arriving at Manchester Airport on the afternoon of Monday 24th September 2018, aviation spotters and photographers at the viewing park were treated to a photographic opportunity which had been specially arranged.

In collaboration with The Aviation Society (TAS) Manchester and Manchester Air Traffic Control (ATC), the pilot stopped the aircraft directly opposite the Aviation Viewing Park (AVP) so that spotters and photographers alike could get a glimpse of the new aircraft.

After an overnight stay, on Tuesday morning the aircraft manufacturer operated two demonstration flights.

The first flight of the day took off just after 11:00hrs and landed back at the airport around 11:45hrs.

The second flight then took off slightly later than scheduled at around 14:00hrs before landing back at the airport around 15:00hrs.

Speculation has it was for the British Airways-owned BA CityFlyer subsidiary, but time will tell which airline purchases the new aircraft.

The plane then made its final take-off from Manchester at 16:30hrs to travel to Zurich as its next destination on the European tour.
