Congleton Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) will be closed from midday on Wednesday 16th January until 8.30am on Friday 18th January.
This is so that repair works can be completed.
During the temporary closure, road surface repairs will be carried out and changes made to white lines, which will reverse the current flow of traffic across the site.
Cheshire East Council explained that they are making the changes to increase safety and improve traffic flow at the site.
While the Congleton site is closed, household waste can be taken to any other Cheshire East facility.
The nearest alternative is Macclesfield HWRC on Congleton Road (postcode: SK11 9QP) which is just over 6 miles away from the Congleton site.
