The 38th Congleton Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 2nd October 2022.
The event is organised by Congleton Harriers, and the club is hoping the event will be better than ever following its triumphant return last year.
Planning is already well underway to ensure that a safe and well-marshalled race can take place on the scenic countryside roads around Congleton.
The race will begin on Somerford Lane, which is a 10-minute walk from the race HQ.
The start and finish line for the race are in the same location, whilst car parking and the race HQ can both be found at Congleton High School on Box Lane.
Congleton Half Marathon is part of the North Staffordshire Road Runners Association (NSRRA) race series and will, as usual, attract many runners from the annual competition.
This year, there is the added attraction that race timing will also include live split times which will allow friends and family to track progress from the start/finish area.

This year’s race will be open to physical entries only, and these will remain open until 9am on the day.
The artwork for this year’s medal and branding has been designed by Stephen Sibbald.
It features the legendary bear – which gives Congleton its nickname ‘Beartown’ – majestically standing on top of The Cloud which is a prominent feature of the local skyline.
