With 30,000 people expected, the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival 2019 is set to be the biggest event of its type to take place anywhere in the UK this Easter.

Over 150 exhibitors will arrive at Chester Racecourse to bring visitors the best the region has to offer.



Top chefs…

Festival organisers are proud to have confirmed their biggest and best line up of chefs ever!

Your chance to see this stellar line up of top line chefs – who are also fabulous live entertainers – is included in the cost of your entry ticket.


Simon Rimmer

Simon Rimmer, star of Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch – and of course Strictly Come Dancing as well (he’s a much better cook than he is a dancer!) will be appearing live, twice, on Saturday the 20th April.


Andi Oliver

On Sunday 21st April, tv star and judge of The Great British Menu, Andi Oliver will be cooking up a treat on stage. She’s recently opened a new restaurant, ‘Andi’s’, and can be heard as a regular panel member on BBC Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet.


Matt Tebbut

On Monday, Matt Tebbut of Saturday Kitchen will be on the main stage. Matt hosts the top-rated BBC programme as well as having starred in Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped.

Harthill Cookery School

Join in with the adult cooking classes brought to you by Brian Mellor and the Harthill Cookery School.

These sessions will be hands on, so you have the chance to get involved in cooking and to learn from the master.


Broil King

Broil King will be giving you the chance to learn how to cook a “proper BBQ”.

This is one of the most popular attractions, offering you the opportunity to learn specialist skills from the Broil King BBQ team.

Expert chefs will show you how to not just cook the meat but prepare and finish the dish using the best possible BBQ techniques.


Academy of Culinary Arts

For the last eight years, the Academy of Culinary Arts team has provided free cooking classes for the children who have come to the Chester Food and Drink Festival.

Last year, James Holden and his team of chefs taught more than 900 children in three days across a series of sessions throughout the festival.

Each session lasts 40 minutes and during that time, children of all ages get a sensory guide to food with tastes, smells and colours.
