Shares

We’ve asked all of the candidates standing for election to Cheshire East Council to provide our readers with a short introduction to themselves.

We’ll publish these daily for all 52 council wards (in alphabetical order) in the build up to the local elections on 4th May 2023.

You can view all of the Cheshire East Council candidate submissions together by clicking here.

Listed below are all of the candidates seeking your vote in the Crewe North ward.

Voters in Crewe North can select one candidate to represent them on Cheshire East Council.

Crewe North candidates:

  • Joy Bratherton (Labour
  • Daniel Hill (Conservatives)
  • Brian Silvester (Putting Crewe First)

Joy Bratherton (Labour)

I have been involved in local politics since 1980 when I first came to live in Crewe.

I have been a member of Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, Crewe Town Council and for the past six years I’ve been a member of Cheshire East Council.

In May, I shall be asking the residents of Crewe North for their support as I stand as a Labour Party candidate for Crewe Town Council and Cheshire East Council.

I have many years’ experience, coupled with the drive and the commitment to work tirelessly for the residents of Crewe North and the wider borough.

Daniel Hill (Conservatives)

Nothing submitted.

Brian Silvester (Putting Crewe First)

I am a very experienced councillor, and I am standing in the Crewe North ward for both the town and borough councils.

I am a former leader and mayor of the Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, and I am the former deputy leader and honorary alderman of Cheshire East Council.

I currently represent Woolstanwood on Woolstanwood Parish Council.

I have a justified reputation of getting things done for his constituents.

I am appalled at the way the Labour councillors in the town have sent Crewe on a sad spiral of decline.

Once elected I will work hard to reverse the damage that has been done and set Crewe on a path for a much better future.
