It may not have been possible for The Knutsford Beer Festival to take place this year, but the team behind the event haven’t let that get in the way of giving its fans what they love – beer!
They’ve come up with a solution to give beer fans in Cheshire a great beer experience at home.
The Knutsford Beer Festival Beer Advent Calendar – complete with fully customised design – houses a selection of 24 craft beers featuring local breweries such as Mobberley Brewhouse and Tatton Brewery.
Beer festival organiser Rachel Bishop commented: “Ever since the beer festival was cancelled in April, I wanted to do something that would raise money for our charity, the Toy Appeal.
“I couldn’t bear the thought of letting down all the families they help at Christmas.”
Discussing the Advent calendar initiative, Rachel said: “It’s win-win really, because people buying the box can enjoy a whole month of great beers and feel good that they are doing their bit for charity.”
The beers chosen for the box offer something for everyone, and include a few special treats like a dark chocolate orange stout from White Hag.
“We can’t all get together at the beer festival this year, but we can enjoy some great beers together at home.”
There will be virtual beer tastings for every beer in the box throughout December, and these will be shared on the Knutsford Beer Festival Instagram channel.
The limited-edition Advent calendars cost £80 including delivery in time for the start of December.
