People are being invited to a find out more about volunteering at this year’s Congleton Food and Drink Festival – which returns this June.
A special evening is being hosted at Congleton Town Hall on Tuesday 4th February (5.30-7pm) where people can drop in at any time to learn about a roles required.
Duties include marshalling, litter picking and general support – with each job offering an opportunity to be part of an bustling event, meet new people, and give back to the community.
The food and drink festival draws thousands of visitors each year, and wouldn’t be possible without the support of volunteers who ensure everything runs smoothly.
Town centre and events officer Rachel McCarthy said: “Whether you’re a seasoned helper or completely new to volunteering, we’d love to have you on board.
“It’s a rewarding experience and a chance to be part of something truly special for the town.”
Congleton Food and Drink Festival 2025 will take place on Sunday 8th June (10.30am-4.30pm), and has been a staple of the town’s cultural scene for the past 15 years.
Congleton Town Council has taken over the running of the event this year, and says it will feature local produce, street food, live music, and entertainment.
