Bluedot festival will not be going ahead this year.
Organisers announced the decision this afternoon (6th April).
They said in a statement: “We’re saddened to announce that we’ll be making 21-24 July 2022 the next date for bluedot, our festival of music, culture and discovery here at Jodrell Bank.
“This means that plans for the festival in 2021 will no longer be going ahead.”
Tens of thousands of festival-goers attend the spectacle every summer, last held in 2019 as the 2020 event was also called off due to the pandemic.
Organisers explained: “After much deliberation we felt that making compromises to what has become such a unique and much-loved experience, would not be acceptable for the festival’s many communities.”
In the coming months they hope to share exciting plans for Bluedot’s return in 2022, and memories stretching back to the first Bluedot festival 5 years ago.
Anyone with a ticket can hold on to it and use it for entry to the rescheduled festival in 2022.
If you would like to request a refund, ticket outlets will be in touch with details about this soon.
