Ten organisations in Cheshire are to receive funding through a programme set up by luxury car manufacturer Bentley.
The grants will support community projects in Crewe which deal with food poverty, mental health, youth services, disability support and family wellbeing.
Bosses say the funding will support thousands of residents in some of the town’s most deprived areas over the coming year.
Groups set to benefit include vulnerable families and care leavers as well as children with special educational needs and young people avoiding school.
“As a company rooted in Crewe for over 85 years, we have a deep commitment to supporting the community that has been home to our workforce and operations,” said Sally Hepton, from Bentley.
“Through the Bentley Advancing Life Chances programme, we are proud to invest in projects that address real challenges facing our colleagues and neighbours, from food poverty and mental health support to youth services and financial wellbeing.
“These grants reflect our ongoing dedication to advancing life chances and creating opportunities for all residents in our hometown.”
