Around 150 people took part in the third annual ‘Beating the Bounds’ walk around the perimeter of Wilmslow’s parish boundary on Sunday May 19th.
Organisers say the weather was kind, and everyone had a good time.
In all, the event this year has raised about £9,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.
The aim of Beating the Bounds is to bring together various parts of the local community for a fun day out whilst raising money for East Cheshire Hospice.
Around 20 participants rand the full 15-mile course, while around 90 walked the route.
A further 40 fundraisers walked a shorter 8-mile walk, and refreshments were provided throughout the day for everyone – including a barbecue at the end!
Organiser Ned Spencer commented: “A lot of work went in to organising the day, but it was worth it to hear people say how much they enjoyed it.
“Plus together we raised about £9,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.”
Money is still coming in so this could increase further!
