Crewe Clean Team bulb planting

Shares

Crewe Clean Team were joined by 12 cubs and their three leaders on Saturday 13th October.

Despite all forecasts, the weather remained dry for the two hours it took them to plant nearly 400 daffodils and tulips in various places around the Christ Church churchyard.

Crewe Clean Team chairman David McDonald said: “We don’t know what the future plans for Christ Church are yet, but our plans to make the area as beautiful as possible haven’t changed.

“As always, there was plenty of enthusiasm on view and most of it was directed towards the jobs in hand!”

Before planting, the cubs raked the areas free of leaves and they also conducted a litter pick of the whole churchyard.

David added: “Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help – you will be rewarded in the spring. We would like to thank Minshull’s, who, again, provided some of the bulbs.”
