Mughli on King Street in Knutsford is to close after 17 years in the town.
Mughli’s owners announced on Facebook: “It comes with great sadness that we today announce the closure of the Mughli Bar + Kitchen.”
It follows the closure of The Railway Kitchen has closed its doors, after almost three years of trading in the village, late last year – run by the same firm.
The Facebook post concerning the Knutsford venue continued: “Despite our best efforts, staffing difficulties & rising costs in an already difficult climate mean that it is no longer viable for us to remain open.”
The Manchester restaurant is unaffected by the closure, and will continue to trade.
The statement added: “We would like to pass on a special thanks to YOU – our customers and regulars who became friends over the years, those who joined us each week or recommended us to others as well as to our dedicated staff and suppliers.”
It concluded: “We wouldn’t be where we are today without you and for that we will be eternally grateful.
“We also wish our successor the very best in what is and will continue to be a wonderful village – we will miss it and you all dearly.”
