Calling all caped crusaders, power rangers, wonder women and bat girls!
Unleash your inner superhero and sign up to take part in KAPOW! for St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford.
The giant inflatable obstacle course challenge is being held on Saturday 29th September at Winsford Academy.
Participants will run, climb, duck and dodge their way through ten giant inflatable obstacles over a 5km course, dressed as their favourite superhero, all to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice.
Martine Dawber and Ryan Cooksley raised an incredible £2,241 towards patient care last year, taking part as Batman and Batgirl in memory of their father Chris Cooksley, who they lost to cancer 13 years ago.
Chris was cared for by St Luke’s in his final days and Martine and Ryan wanted to raise as much money as they could for the Hospice.
Martine said: “We wanted to give something back to St Luke’s as the Hospice did so much for our dad and our family.
“Taking part in KAPOW! was a small act but we absolutely loved it. It was really fun, the atmosphere was great and everybody was dressed up.
“A big highlight for me was having my little boy there. He was cheering us on from the side.
“KAPOW! was the perfect way for us to raise money for the Hospice as my dad was a huge Batman fan, always collecting memorabilia.”
Amanda Harrison, principal at Winsford Academy, said: “The academy is delighted to be able to host and support this event for such a worthwhile cause.
“We look forward to this and many other events in partnership with St Luke’s.
“We are particularly proud of our position in the community and the ever growing and diverse community usage we are able to support.”
The KAPOW! course is suitable for adults and children with a minimum height of 1.2m (4ft).
All under 16-year-olds must be accompanied by a registered participating adult.
