Knutsford ‘Shop Saturday’

Shares

This Saturday (12th May 2018) will see shoppers visiting Knutsford able to enjoy free parking at Silk Mill Street (45 spaces), Princess Street (54 spaces) and King Street (125 spaces) car parks from 10am.

That means over 200 motorists will be able to visit Knutsford and shop without paying for parking.

Since the free parking is being made available from 10am onwards, visitors are advised to pay for a ticket if parking their car in these car parks before this time as parking controls commence at 8am.

Please also note that the Booths (264 spaces), Old Market Place (11 spaces) and Tatton Street (144 spaces) car parks are not included in this free parking initiative.

The free parking is an initiative from Cheshire East Council, offering four days of free parking in 2018 across towns within the borough.

Each town is able to select which four dates, via its town council. The three remaining free parking days for Knutsford have been allocated to December in accordance with retailers’ wishes.

Sandra Curties, Knutsford’s town centre manager, commented: “Free parking for the day will encourage shoppers to ‘stay and spend’ and enjoy everything Knutsford has to offer – boutiques, restaurants, cafes as well as our lovely green spaces such as The Moor and The Heath.”

Visitors are reminded to park within designated bays.
