People are being invited to nominate deserving people in Erewash district for a civic award, to honour outstanding contributions from members of the local community.
The award will be split across seven categories:
- Benefitting Erewash Award
- Community Hero Award
- Culture and Heritage Award
- Green Futures Award
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Young Volunteer Award
- Youth Work Volunteer Award
Nominations can be made on the Erewash Borough Council website, with entries closing on 27 February 2026.
Winners will then be invited to attend a celebratory dinner to be held on 20 March 2026.
“There are so many people in Erewash who work hard to support our local area, and they deserve to be recognised,” said mayor of Erewash, Cllr Harry Atkinson.
“There are lots of ways that people build up our borough, so we have a range of categories representing culture, the environment, younger residents and more.
“These awards are a way for us to say thank you to standout members of our community for all their effort, so please let us know who has made a real difference to you, so we can lift them up in return.”
