The first ever Northwich Krazy Races are being postponed, as event organisers cancel or postpone numerous other events across the area due to the global outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus.
The event was originally due to be held at Verdin Park on 14th June.
Organiser Sarah Belcher said: “We at Krazy Races HQ have had to make an incredible difficult decision due to the current and ever changing situation with the coronavirus outbreak.”
She explained: “We feel that for our audiences, teams and everyone in between this is the best decision and provides some reassurance for everyone involved.
“This has been an incredibly difficult decision but we feel it is in the best interest for everyone involved in the events that we postpone at this point.”
Northwich Krazy Races will take place at Verdin Park, with racers hurtling down Castle Street on Sunday 6th September.
Sarah added: “We are monitoring industry and Government advice closely, we will always keep you informed through these unprecedented time as all is subject to change depending on how the pandemic progresses in the future.
“We hope that you all support us in our decision and that you’ll come along later in the year and join us for lots of fun and entertainment.”
