The ‘Crewe Passion Play’ open air theatre production depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ will take place in Crewe town centre on Good Friday (19th April 2019).
The event will begin at St Mary’s Street at 11am, then weave through Crewe town centre before concluding at Victoria Square at midday.
The re-enactment will recreate the sequence of events from Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the Passover meal, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the crucifixion to the resurrection.
The play is being staged by Love Crewe which is composed of several churches serving the Crewe area.
