Wilmslow-based youth theatre company CHYPS is preparing to perform classic pantomime Snow White, as they mark their 18th season since forming in 2007.
The company will take to the stage at the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre with six performances from Tuesday 30th December 2025 until Sunday 4th January 2026 – including three matinees.
Bosses say the production promises current hits and timeless classics, brought to life by a talented cast of 11-to-18-year-olds.
The actors, singers and dancers are supported by a live band.

The role of Snow White will be played by Emily Taylor, who played the evil stepmother in the last CHYPS show, Cinderella.
“Rehearsals are the highlight of my week, coming together to create the show,” she said.
“Playing Snow White is such a fantastic opportunity and honour for me.
“Growing up, I came to watch CHYPS shows every single year, so to play the princess is a dream come true.”

Madison McMurray played Cinderella last year and this year takes on the character of the baddie, Queen Avarice.
“Playing the evil queen is so enjoyable but equally challenging, which makes rehearsals so interesting and exciting,” she said.
CHYPS has picked up numerous awards for its shows, and chair Bill Beton said they had received “amazing and very enthusiastic feedback from our audiences” last year.
“I just love to see the smiles on the faces of everyone as they leave at the end of the show,” he added.

Director Sally Hunt, who has been directing CHYPS since she formed the group almost 20 years ago, commented: “We have such a talented cast, production and creative team and they are supported by an amazing live band.
“Every year we strive to improve our high standard and to also put something in that has a wow factor.”
“We will certainly be doing that this year, but no spoilers, you will have to come along and see what that is! You won’t be disappointed.”
