An evening of folk music presented by Chester Folk Festival
Saturday 15th November 2025
The organisers of Chester Folk Festival will be presenting an autumn folk trilogy concert on 15th November at All Saints Church in Hoole.
“The trilogy the perfect antidote to the darker evenings and fading memories of the summer festival season,” a spokesperson said.
“Rekindle that live music feeling with sparkling songs and tunes to recharge your musical batteries and set your toes tapping.”
This year’s trio of folk acts are:

Ben Robertson and Phoebe Rees
Two musicians with a new duo, both are highly acclaimed in their own right and well established on the folk festival circuit.
Organisers say these unique and accomplished performers combine spell binding guitar and fiddle playing with fine voices to wow you with music from across the Celtic and European folk traditions.

Will Riding
Will is described as a writer of witty, amusing, observant and compassionate songs that deal in the joys, tragedies, triumphs and failures of our everyday lives.
His quirky take on so many topics never fails to warm the hearts of his audiences, organisers say.

Oktober Hollow
This new band comprises five young, talented musicians who first cut their teeth with the Love Music Trust Young Folk Ensemble.
Organisers say they are a genre-bending band combining traditional folk with rock to create a bold and rich sound. They create powerful tunes full of tonal and textural layers.
